This isn’t “news”, per se… as the source of World of Warcraft dance animations has been explained to death all over the internet… but I found this to be one of the most well-edited and, heck, entertaining rundowns of where Blizzard got the inspiration for the various characters and how they shake their respective booties.

In case you’re not familiar with the game, World of Warcraft allows you to make your character dance on command by typing “/dance”. The animations for those dances, as shown in this Youtube vid, are inspired by real life sources.

Though any red-blooded male will probably rewind the Alizee part (the French girl in the black outfit who inspired the female Night Elf dance), I’m most entertained by the trees doing the Twist with Chubby Checker. They just look so happy.
