Game reviews: the ugly truth

They’ve just posted a pretty blunt overview of the game review process over at ArsTechnica. Because exclusive or early reviews are such a huge draw for sites, game publishers wield a great amount of power over who gets a game and, more importantly, what they can say. No one is pointing fingers or saying that some sites are getting paid off to write a good review, but there is a very real problem where important information is left out of the review, and we often have no way of knowing what it is.
But don’t worry! Here at GameLedge we’re don’t ever get exclusives, so we always give you the straight up truth.
