Capcom Announces Spyborgs

[flv:/video/spyborgs_captivate.flv 476 356] This video features very little about the gameplay, but it's dripping with attitude, which is what they're trying to convey the most, I imagine. Some veterans frome several serious game development teams have formed Bionic Games, and their first release is a sarcastic action adventure game promising the fun of Saturday morning cartoons with the wacky antics that only a misfit group of super-powered bionic heroes can provide. And it's a Wii exclusive. Something about using innovative controls to create a one-of-a-kind adventure experience. New game IP, innovative control scheme, sarcastic fun? 2009 seems so far away now. Full press release for you marketing junkies by following the link. SAN MATEO, Calif. — June 3, 2008 -- Capcom® Entertainment, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced Spyborgs™, a new action game coming exclusively to the Wii™ home video game system from Nintendo. In Spyborgs, players take on the role of a diverse team of five bionic superspies in a fight to save the world from a group of dastardly villains. Wii gamers will be set to save the world when the game launches in 2009. The first title developed by Bionic Games™, a newly-formed development team comprised of former Insomniac Games and High Impact developers known for their work on hugely popular franchises Ratchet and Clank™ and Resistance: Fall of Man™, Spyborgs is a unique action-adventure game set in a stylish world that resembles a Saturday morning cartoon.
